I'm at 1yr+ doing HOA/condo work but have had no opportunity to do real estate transactions like I expected. Seems like the only way to get the experience is to have nailed a big law gig right out of school and get put into that practice.

Anyone got a six figure base as an AE? Hunting around for companies with 6-fig base and similar commission. Seems to be mostly field / enterprise pay.

Need some advice, I honestly suck at sales and it’s just something that’s effecting my mental health. I have grit and I bang out a bunch of calls but I’m not seeing any fruits of my labor. Why is there such a huge pay difference between IT and Mechanical/auto industries? Many people in IT are getting 3xx salary hikes, but here I am struggling to get more that 20-30% hikes. Sure the skills are much more demand in IT field, but the discrepancy is too much. Is it due to most of the work are outsourced to consultancy/service based companies by the OEM? Or is there simply too much candidates available?

Relatively new in Big4 M&A advisory doing mostly integration work with some pre deal DD mixed in. I recently heard L.E.K. Consulting places well in MM PE but don't know much about them otherwise. Was interested if anyone had insight into whether a jump to their M&A or PE groups would be possible. Need advice and pep talk because I’m certain I have chronic imposter syndrome :( Background on me, I have about 6 years of work experience post college but have gone through many companies because of layoffs and/or reorgs. With that, I’ve bounced a lot with different industries and have done different roles for a year max.
