Hey everyone, I have been running a software development company for a while building MVP's and MSP's for founders in the UK. I am also a fractional CTO for few startups in the UK. I am looking to break into the US market as well. Any guidance on what would be the best way to go about it would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Marry an American, or work for a multinational company in the UK and push for a US transfer down the line. It’s really hard for large established companies to sponsor, and it’s basically non-existent at startups. Here’s a good summary of why: https://www.upcounsel.com/blog/how-can-a-startup-sponsor-an-h1b-visa

Hi Fishes,

I cannot able to relocate now due to family dependency reasons. I heard iOS developer salary market is good. I am having a very good work life balance in the current company. I am in a confusion. Should I look for opportunities with PWFM or stay in current company? Am I making low pay as per market trends?

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?
