I'm the hiring mgr for designers in my org. I recently discovered pay band information given to me by the HR generalist I'm working with on hiring was outdated and updated bands had been released over the summer (prior to my hire date). The outdated information had led me to believe a prime candidate was out of range. Aside from incompetence, can anyone think of a reason why HR might have withheld information about the pay bands? I assume mgrs see the full monty when it comes to pay...right?

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…

How does anyone keep time well for prayer and meditation while fully giving yourself to family and work in this economy?

One can imagine work here as meant in the maximum of work vs life here.

I know people who are constantly crashing and that’s without the set time for prayer. And despite hearts or gold, obvious piety and a high work ethic.

Based on the recent event of George Floyd’s murder/police brutality, what do others think? Most of the church is silent when it comes to these issues and not sure why. Curious to know others thoughts regardless of your race/ethnic background.

People of God, in addition to strategic action, I think it’s best to pray for wisdom, leadership, and healing across the land. Please let me know if you would like prayer. It has been an emotionally taxing past few days for sure.

I need advice. I'm a non-denominational, pretty moderate Christian. My parents are loving people, but also very evangelical and Trump-endorsing. It's a struggle dealing with their black / white views.

During family prayer - my mom takes nearly 40 minutes every single time (this is 2x a day, morning and night). She speaks a different language and I barely understand. How can I lovingly tell her to take less time?
