I don't think there would necessarily be any legal ramifications (unless the companies are competitors). What I don't get is how anyone could possibly juggle 2 FT jobs at the exact same time. How can you deliver quality work when you're being pulled in 2 different directions?
Chief
I think you will need to read through the contracts of both companies, perhaps even have a lawyer review them. Many companies have exclusivity clauses in their contracts.
From a legal standpoint, HIGHLY unlikely either company would ever file suit - unless they are both in the same business space and you’re leaking IP on either side (super conflict of interest). But both companies would probably fire you if they found out. So just don’t let either find out and enjoy rollin in the dough my guy.
check reddit sub \overemployed for advice on this. it's quite informative
I work two jobs - but I do one European one and one American one so the time difference overlap isn't crazy. It only becomes an issue with meetings...esp if one company is camera off and the other isn't. I've tried to do two meetings at one time and would not recommend it
yeah, I would not do it again...it was a scheduling mishap on my end before I understood timezones lol
How are you going to pull that off? Do you mean like working 16 hour days or are you saying youre going to do both at the same time?
I just fired two people who I caught doing this. Go in being prepared to lose both jobs.
If successful, imagine capturing this experience effectively on LinkedIn…
Lol. Good luck - you’ve got this:)
Read your contract but also make sure you have the bandwidth. Doing two 9-5 is no easy task.
Go through your contract carefully and decide for yourself!
Refer to each work contract, as SE said. Gl! Rest up while you can
One of our employees was doing this and we only found out after the fact. It was a horrible 3 months before he quit and I still resent that he did it. There’s no way you can do your job well with 2 full-time positions.
