Hey, is there anyone who is currently employed (applied as) a "Technology Strategy Consultant" at Deliotte?

I was just curious as to level of experience to be even considered a candidate? (including with referral)
Salary expectations as well for the NYC region?

Currently an AC1 at Slalom (mid tier consultant firm) and I have my master's degree. At the time of planning to transition to this role, I will only have 1YOE

Any insight is appreciated.

Deliotte? Good luck cracking the interviews.

funny

I mean I got my asshole rearranged by my Google TPM interviews, so I am pretty good at them now

I was in technology strategy in Enterprise performance. Better to be in CBO or S&A. 2 YOE would qualify you for consultant. 1-1.5 would be borderline.

Understandable, any ideas of certifications or things I can do in the meantime to strengthen my resume some more?

I have been trying to pickup more roles and responsibilities, and looking to complete PSM1

I just have to switch this job in the new year if they demand me in person as it's in another state 😳

Do NOT go to CBO. It all O&M work over there. Before I left Deloitte I switched to EP and was much happier. Eventually money talked and the rest walked so I jumped ship.

CBO = Core Business Operations portfolio. This includes systems engineering, cloud engineering, and ops transformation offerings. These are all O&M. Deloitte has gone after massive conversion and transformation engagements.

EP = Enterprise Technology and Performance portfolio. This includes IT strategy, SAP, Oracle, new ERP solutions, financial performance, and supply chain. The work here is much more interesting than sustainment IMHO.

What does one in Technology Strategy do exactly?

Personally I enjoy this work, I don't want to be tied down as "the Salesforce guy" I rather play various hands in a program/project and once it's complete move to another

Hi fishes,

I have the following 2 offers..

Cognizant- 21L fixed and 1.5L variable
PWC - 22L fixed

This is for a guidewire role.
Which is a better offer? What would be a good option for growth wrt role, salary etc.
Also, PWC claims to offer variable based on their fixed CTC based on the ratings.. is this true ? How much is the avg percentage given?

Thanks in advance!

AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.
