I just started my career in SAP ABAP, just wanted to know about the future of this technology. Does SAP has future? Can I continue in this domain ?

Just out of curiosity, have you ever started a new job and thought what the hell am I getting myself into?!?
If it was the wrong fit how long did you grin and bear it? 6 months / 1 year / longer?
Did it get better with time or worse? (For instance just a case of lack of know-how)
If you left did you find securing a new job difficult due to only being there for so little time?

Does anyone have a career coach they would recommend? Preferably someone familiar with creative fields. I’m trying to figure out if I want to transition out of marketing.

I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. I had been practising DSA for years and the competition is only ever growing.

I'm reaching the point in my career where visibility in the company is more important for promotions than my technical skills. I hate networking with a burning passion. Should I just give up on getting promotions? I already make more money than I need.

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?
