Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. Or should I take a job offer I was given with a nice raise, but is in consulting at Slalom. I have not worked in consulting before. Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I see the current Indian hiring scene as not unreasonable inflation of salaries and astounding hikes rather as a correction; a deep upward correction.
This was long overdue. The starting salaries have remained more or less stagnant for over a decade.

India is no more the India of yore. India has had a very pertinent export for a longish period of time. Indian software engineers have long served at meagre rates in India.

Now is the time to establish some sort of equilibrium.

Been hearing from a lot of my seniors is that the working life in IT is only till 10-15 years...

And one of the reason they give is that after 10yoe, one is given a managerial role...and as a result he/she becomes redundant and following the pyramid structure they are laid off!

So is going for an MBA the only solution?
How one can extend his IT life given the fact there are EMIs that would continue till retirement?
