Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? I got an offer from PwC. The joining date that I had agreed from my side was 2 June. But I don't know that even in probation the NP is 90 days (it was mentioned in the release doc as 1 month but I didn't take that screenshot as proof). I told the whole issue to my recruiter and she sent a confirmation mail stating that she will revise my joining date by 90 days without issue. Is there any chance they can revoke the offer? I have put down my papers already.

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up. I'm non-confrontational but year-end reviews are right around the corner and I'm worried about having to act professional to someone who I got too close with and who now hates me.

Moved from agency after 6yrs, into a startup (€8m Series A, high growth); first marketing hire. My manager is ex VC, seems to like managing by fear, let’s fire X, let’s cut the agency etc. sets tight deadlines & adds urgent items last minute. Others seem to feel I’m doing great but I am butting heads with him constantly about unrealistic workloads etc. Really not enjoying interacting with him, thinking about leaving... should I stick it out? I feel like I’m being abused, but need money!

How can I be happier at work? I found myself keep comparing me to other colleges and feel I’m not as recognized or taking credits that I suppose to take, and this makes me unhappy and exhausted. FYI I’m competitive in skills and knowledge but not as good in politics and often feel tired to think about it. I also tried to not care about the recognition but then how do I make sure I get to move my path up and forward in the current role?
