I am in discussion with TCS for salary negotiation.
They are offering less CTC than the offer in hand. They are waiting for my confirmation to release the offer.

Now, I am thinking to ask them to provide me onsite assurance(not now but at least in 6-12months), so as to compensate for the ctc difference.

I know that account has onsite opportunities at my band. Is it a wise thing to ask the manager to give me onsite assurance in written so as to compensate for the CTC ?

I’m very excited about the role but didn’t realize I’d need to take a pay cut when I applied (~100k base + ~20k bonus + ~60k equity vs. 90k base + 10-20k bonus). I’m graduating in December, with a background in environmental economics and policy. Consulting didn’t work out this cycle. Made it to final rounds for Bain and Kearney but in the end didn’t get an offer. I want to recoup and try again, but I’m worried that once I’m out of undergrad the door will be closed to starting in consulting.

What can I do to make this happen? I have friends and connections at Bain and Kearney and the other firms as well, but not sure if it’s feasible now.
