Hi all, I am looking to advance my insurance career. I have a little over a decade of insurance industry experience and interested in specializing in Risk management, fraud, or even a legal capacity within the field.

I am hoping for an opportunity to work with an company that supports both professional development (in regards to licensing), AND development through formal education opportunities, (master's degree or law school),

What companies are best for supporting this type of development?

Just about every major insurance company out there does both, whether you’re looking for tuition assistance or licensing. They know they’re not going to get you as a producer unless they allow you to test for your license and train you to do so.
As far as extra development since you’ve already been in the industry so long, I would look to certifications Instead of anything else because they’re a faster turnaround, they cost less and they can have an impact on your personal bottom line faster.

My company is currently hiring remote, if you're looking for a new career! I work for a very reputable company that's been around for 120 years and they have some incredible opportunities! We work w/ Union Members, Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Veterans.
We are the official life Insurance for the Dallas Cowboys, LA Lakers, Atlanta Braves and the Texas Rangers! I'd love to help get you an interview for this week if you are interested!

Hi friends, need you suggestions here

I am a CA with 5 years of post qualification experience (with one of the big4). I joined PwC k SDC as SA2 last year December. Now I realised that, I am placed a level below than compared to my peers. Can I ask HR to match my level based on my experience?

PS: My previous employer is offering me to join back as a Manager but I am inclined for PwC for WFH.

Please suggest

Thanks in advance

Advice needed!! Have 8+ years of compliance/legal/in house experience (not privacy law except HIPAA). Is this a good stepping stone to a Privacy Counsel role? How long should I expect to work at PwC before I could apply to Privacy Counsel roles??

Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

Additional Posts in Insurance

Currently I make a base of $63k/yr and $1k/mo in bonuses pre-tax. I manage a performance for a team of licensed insurance agents (service-based role in a direct business environment), maintain our business relationships, and support adhoc training needs. Is there anyone else in this type of role who is able to share how this compares to similar positions and your general location?

I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.

If you’re a manager and you see an employee that wants to branch out into a different department, why would you keep them boxed in for 2+ years?

Are there some background mechanics that I’m missing?
