Looking for some honest advice. Considering an offer with SocGen B’lore for Specialist Software Engineer position with 5.5 years exp and into Tech service management. Could you please tell me a bit about following points?
- 25% of the compensation(5Lakhs) is Variable. Does company even pay 60% of it at the end of the year if you perform say 4/5 rating?
- What is an average annual hike that the firm gives?
- How is the work culture and LGBTQ inclusionpolicy? Société Générale

1. The joining bonus goes a long way if you end up working only for 1-2 years. And your overall ctc would be higher so you may get your yearly increments based on that (should clarify with hr) . Scope for variable pay is good as well.
Also check w someone from accenture what the variable pay for "average performance" Tends to be and assume that to be your variable pay before deciding.
Any grade of variable pay for above avg. performance should be ignored (since that judgement is completely in the company's hands)
The salary diff b/w the companies isn't very drastic tbh, so things like work culture/office location/your personal company preference should also be considered when weighing the two.
