How difficult would it be to exit into MBB from Big 4 financial services consulting? Obviously it’s dependent on the candidate, but is this a switch one can accomplish without going back for an MBA?

I took a temporary job as an attorney advisor at the SBA this past fall b/c it offered a regular paycheck, and my solo practice was suffering b/c of the pandemic. I like the work. Is it any surprise we’re seeing mass layoff in tech? Years of rich friends hiring rich friends with no work ethic has lead us here. I know way too many tech people who work maybe an hour a day followed by errands and traveling. A lot of getting in these places is who you know, apparently that doesn’t work out like it used to. The amount of people who worked for Meta, Apple, Amazon, etc for a few months / maybe a year is astounding. it’s around that time frame a boss can tell if you’re worth it

Help- my FBIL is refusing to rent a tux for our wedding because he already owns one. It is a different tuxedo. We would like everyone in the same tux, which I don’t think is crazy to ask for? After the events of this weekend, I ethically disagree with acting “business as usual”. I’ll raise this with my team, but I anticipate a crossroads with leadership (I am fairly new, younger, junior, woman POC to the org.) If this results and BAU does not change, is it more right to leave my job? Or stay where change is needed?

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.
