I have come across openings for Sustainability Expert at various consulting firms. The one at MCk projects the role as being very impactful, which if true, is of high interest to me. I don't know anyone directly at MCk and in similar roles in the field. I would like to hear from professionals in the field what such a role entails. Work, travel need, career, job sat etc.

When you recruiters say at the end of a 15 min call.
“I will get back to you by the end of this week” does that really mean “your not right for this position”? Because this whole thing is a waste of time. I’ve did these calls with 3 recruiters and is yet to hear back from someone. Today would be the 4th recruiter that I’ve spoken to. Does this practice annoy you guys just as much as it does us? My dream career is to be a technical recruiter but this whole thing is discouraging.

When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Hey folks, I am interested in sustainability and the entire finance aspect of it. However my exp in th area is woefully inadequate. I'm trying to read up. Currently in the finance transformation team at EY (not related at all to sustainability). And no background studies wise.
Is there any chance B4 hire ppl who are interested. Have been with the firm 5 years, but haven't asked yet if they can internally move me.
