I have joined TCS recently and it’s been 4 months and I’m not liking it due to micromanagement, toxic work culture and mismatch in the role/technology. Can someone tell me How do I get release from this project ??
My Probation is completed and I got the confirmation letter.

(1) Release from project is dependant at the discretion of management, you can drop an email asking for release, show minimal interest in working, take frequent leaves if you have Leaves balance.
(2) Work on your skill sets, what kind of projects you expect clearly mention to your reporting rmg, although project allocation is very random.
My Advice :-
If you didn't get expected project/roles and feels suffocated, try to switch ASAP. Might seem weird but considering current scenario of tcs, you will get this advice mostly

I do have a team member, who has skills missmatch. Still they force him to do work. After lots of request not able to switch project. Now he is leaving company.
I would also suggest you to switch since, switching is easier than getting released from the project
In same situation, joined in February, didn't liked the first project,team,and working hours ,gone for a long leave and while in leave , requested the project manager for release stating skillset mismatch.He released and after 1 month ,provided the project in accordance with my skills,then again it was horrible and toxic work culture both from client and TCS work management,daily 12,13 hrs ,late night calls.Guess what again went on 1 week leave and dropped a note requesting release for the same manager and didn't show interest to work,they released again and now got a bit better project with less working hours so preparing for switching in parallel.
Tip : Request Release immediately with proper reason and if possible take a break go for 1 week leave , discuss with your manager explaining the same am unable to adjust for work life balance due to some personal issues. Speak Up and Move On

What would be the proper probable reason. We can not say don't like management and all. We can't speak truth.😀

Get out from this organization asap. Even if you put Paper and ask release then also they will not give you release. So , better you find good offer outside and move out. Do not waste your time here.
I am currently in TCS. Earlier, I was part of DXC. Work life balance was good in DXC.
People say work life balance is also good in TCS but my experience has been very bad in TCS till now in all areas. I am serving notice period.
Just stop working your work after dropping mail until they will change your project. Manager automatically will remove from his project.
