Where should I join for career growth…

How does a person stay in this field and maintain a balanced/healthy life? Or is it even possible? I’m an average guy..average energy, average smarts, average interest in tax, but compared to peers, I’m great with people. I feel like this mix leaves me chronically burnt out in this field. I was a highly motivated person and like grinding if it allows me to enjoy my hobbies in slower times, but that type of balance is becoming nearly impossible to maintain. Cont.

Financially savvy fish - I’ve seen multiple opinions from folks regarding 401k’s. Some say to only put in what your company will match, others say max that bad boy out at 19K per year. Thoughts?
