I am interviewing as a senior consultant at KPMG finance strategy and transformation in Switzerland
1) Any tips on case types and specific questions to prepare for?
2) can anyone provide insights into the type of work they do? I do know the basics, but would appreciate input from someone who works there KPMG

If you do you stock video try pexels.com - let them know you used stock in the interest of time. Not saying so, could be interpreted as claiming it as your own footage.
I’ve seen this kind of ask and timeline in agency and broadcast news before - challenging.
Hope this helps
Awareness video would typically be longer but given the time frame - you can choose to focus on demonstrating you have an eye for the job and software skills in the tools.
I am betting really what they want to get out of this exercise - if this role doesn’t have play out keep working the piece as a part of your portfolio
make it work for you in the end ❤️
I would totally animate this post and it’s comments in a slapstick/goofy style for the assignment. Big type coming in and out, emphasize some of the funnier comments, etc.
You’re a genius marry me
No pay, no worky.

You don’t want to work for a company that is going to have unrealistic deadlines. Video editing and animation are the most time consuming tasks. Starting off with a deadline expectation like this, I can tell you right now that workplace is toxic and you will be miserable.
The job market is hot for creatives right now, be picky.
I turned down spec work for a creative director role because it was unpaid and ended up with 2 job offers from great companies a month later.
This company is probably one of those looking for design “superstars” which is basically your cue to runaway. Unrealistic deadlines and requests most of the time come along with unrealistic salaries. You’ll find something better down the road 😉

Are you getting paid? If not full stop do not do it.

Send them your rush rates and a contract. See how they respond to that.
AE Templates can be found on 'Creative Market', or 'Envato'. Maybe there's some plugin or expression pack from 'Mister Horse' or something that could cut down on production time?
Honestly you could show them just a storyboard or rough animatic and say "this is what can realistically be accomplished in one day".
Thank you so much
Exploitative and toxic. Send them this thread lol.
Wait - this is an "assessment"? Are they paying you for this? If this isn't paid work, do not entertain them any further. I'd be running in the opposite direction at this point.
Envato elements has some amazing editable video content. I think there are some freebies on the site as well.
Will you share who asked for that?
This is a red flag in my opinion. Run.
I agree with everyone here - ridiculous to ask that of a candidate.
They seem to want to see your proficiency in motion design - since they don’t want any stock footage apparently. And yes, it is an unrealistic timeline. At least a week should be given for this assignment.
Do you have a showreel?
This situation is going to come up all the time. You can raise barriers, or learn from it. Look into Adobe Spark (now Adobe Creative Cloud Express). You can make a reasonably polished video in 30 minutes. I made this video in about that time and the COO/VP level loved it: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/timritzema_sometimes-you-have-to-spice-the-px-reviews-activity-6896924168516898816-koSq
