I have been interviewed and selected for a role in EY UK. The status of my job application is “congratulations on receiving an offer from EY”.
However I have not received any email yet.
Can someone confirm which team sends the final offer coz the HR is saying that he has processed everything from his side.??EY

I would see if you could do an international transfer first before looking for a new job. CDD is already a specialized area, and in the current job market where companies aren’t too focused on growth and M&A, it will be difficult to find solid opportunities with that background. I’ve known a few people in the USA who have struggled with this recently. As the other poster said, the market should recover over the next year so I would bide my time for that
I somewhat agree with S&. Deal volume (and value) has rebounded meaningfully from 2023. Certainly not anywhere near 2021 / 2022 record highs, but a meaningful increase. PE firms still have capital to deploy. There’s also VDDs; multiples are nowhere near 2021 / 2022, but PE firms can’t hold portcos indefinitely. Let’s not forget the broader macro is also a tailwind for divestitures. I do CDDs and have been staffed non-stop for months. My friends in investment banking are also expecting healthy bonuses. The job market remains challenging, but it’s significantly improved.
I think it's important to remember that you're only seeing one side of the story online sometimes. People who are thriving in their jobs aren't posting as much as people who are desperately looking for jobs, so it's hard to get an accurate picture online. That being said, I do think the US job market is in a tough spot right now, but I'm optimistic that things will get better next year
Thank you for the perspective!
Job market is awful in the US for any white collar job.
How come?
