I’m Interviewing for a promotion tomorrow and I am wondering what a typical pay increase is for a move from agent to SME for a large tech company in Austin. Everything I am reading is based on stats from 2019 or 2020. I know how much people have gotten in the past for the same move at my company and in the event that they offer me something similar I am wondering if it would be acceptable for me to negotiate for more due to inflation? Hi friends, I just raised exit request in Accenture after getting the offer from TCS. To be frank I love to work with Accenture as the hike percentage is pretty decent when compared to other companies also I am comfortable working with Accenture. My first time applying and getting an offer for a job posting without a salary on it, aka non-government job. $21k below what I currently make and $3k below the minimum I told them- I went for a job with a bigger title and more responsibility. Other companies need to learn from government jobs. Today I’m loving that my current government job appreciates my worth.

Call me crazy but, I took a 78k pay cut to go work for the Maryland government. Stability is nice but I really will need to get used to the wage difference.

I was hosting a pretty high level (1 or 2 level below c suite) meeting with a European client and they asked me “oh isn’t today a bank holiday you guys are working today?”.
