I recently received an offer from Goldman Sachs. After that, I got a better counter offer from a service-based company. When I approached the Goldman Sachs HR to discuss possible renegotiation, I was informed that they don’t entertain any salary revisions once the offer is released.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation with Goldman Sachs?
• Is there any scope for escalation or further discussion with HR or the hiring manager?
• Or should I assume it’s a final offer and dec

Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!
