I’m currently evaluating an opportunity and would appreciate some guidance from those working at LTIMindtree.

For someone with around 16 years of experience, what designation is typically mapped under P4, P5 and P6 bands?
What is the usual fixed vs variable pay structure for P4 and P5?
Is the variable component actually paid out in full? Or is it performance/business dependent?
Does the company charge employees separately for parental medical insurance for all bands?

I don’t get why people get so mad when planes are delayed due to weather. It’s not like the gate agent will clear up the skies

If you see several ways to improve a Team when you join, should you 1) Do it slowly over a free months so it doesn’t look like you did really good in the beginning then stopped 2) Wait until you are more involved so people don’t think you just joined and can do all these changes

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? By flexible I mean in terms of moving between positions, companies and technologies.

I love in Europe and was wondering how difficult or easy getting remote front end position in a US company would be and if the salary would be the same as a US citizen who lives in the US?

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

I'm a SWE from Italy. Love my country but salary and taxes here are outrageous. Got 2yrs experience in fullstack and data science, 2masters, a peer reviewed paper and outperform all my peers for 24k€ a year.
I'm thinkin about landing a remote SWE job (leetcoding and building a portfolio this summer).
Have you got some advice? Is it possible to work for US remotely without visa? What other countries pay well? Is it possible to land a 100k$+ with this kind of experience and working from Italy?

Is it common to negotiate software engineer salary at smaller companies? I know it’s common at FAANG, but what about for companies with around 200 engineers? I have a counter offer from my current company and on-site interviews scheduled for end of July with google and Amazon, but I’d prefer to go with the smaller local company if I can negotiate the salary (from offer letter) up another 5% or so.
