I'm finishing up my first year in LMM PE as an analyst.

Wondering if anyone has insight to what typical pay increases look like for analysts in PE?

After some research (conversations with recruiters, similar job posts), hoping for a ~17% increase (which sounds high) as that would get me to market comp. 2 YOE total, 1 in consulting, 1 in PE.

Any insight, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated!

We currently work at comparable big firms but her pay is already higher than mine (hers include stocks, mine doesn’t). We did equally well in college & I know I’m just as smart. Can’t help but feel like my career’d have been much better if I did not need sponsorship. Smaller firms don’t sponsor so I work at a big firm but pay isn’t great 🙄

I am an associate at a UMM and my employment contract has a 4 month non compete (yes, even for associates) but I am thinking of lateraling. What are the implications of breaking a non compete? I didn’t say anything when I signed because I was desperate for a PE offer but it seems so unfair as I am just a lowly associate. I am not so much worried about getting sued, but about my current employer tanking my reputation if I leave and break the non compete.
