Everyone complains about high healthcare costs in the US. I understand that it’s a complex problem including drug prices, insurances etc. But no one talks about the high physician salaries. Why do surgeons make near a million in the US while they make $250K in Canada?

What do you think of the FTC case against Facebook? I’m only bringing it up here because it affects our jobs as a lot of us work/have worked for tech start-ups. I personally love capitalism and progress yet having worked for a tech start ups, the data Facebook (and the other 3s) had against us was insurmountable. I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.

I’m a CPA considering going back to school for a law degree. It will take additional 7 years of school. It is worth pursuing?

My anxiety makes me good at my job. My incessant checking, and double checking, and analyzing has earned me praise, trust, and early promotions. Sometimes I wonder, if I were to take medication to give myself some relief, and to stop the panic attacks, would I be less productive? And then I wonder, do I value my own health so little?
