My name is Swati Jain. I have completed my MBA in finance and have been working with Genpact as an Assistant Manager for the past 3.5 years. In total, I have over 10 years of experience in diverse roles, such as order fulfillment, accounts receivable, and user testing. I have also been crossed trained on Billing.

Aside from your PMP certification, what was the best training / class you’ve taken (maybe through AMA?) that has supported you in your PM role?

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Used to be in a quant group. We had an underperforming staff who we let go. He claimed to HR he was discriminated against bc he was an MBA. To which they responded: that's not a protected class.

I work in compliance area with TC of 155k (135k base) and 8yr work experience on my belt now. I always feel that my comp is well behind compared to my peers with similar level of exp....how can I switch out of Risk/compliance and/ or make more without getting an MBA degree? any company suggestion?

I’m interested in becoming a product manager but I don’t think I have the right background. My background is in enablement/product training/L&D. I don’t have a technical background. I work closely with the PMs at my current company and would love to get to do what they do. Is it possible to be a product manager without a technical background? Are there any certification type programs that could boost my credentials and employers would actually care about? Or is this transition a pipe dream?

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. After BCA + MBA I was always looking for functional roles like Pre-sales, Busiess analyst, etc. But now I'm completely in sales with 3 yrs of experience.
Also I have seen that some people have switched from Sales into BA, Pre sales, Product management, etc.
