I am currently a staff 3 at EY GDS and got confirmation on my promotion. I will be a S1 effective from october and i got the exceptional performer rating.

But i have 3 YOE with 8 LPA and i received an indirect hint that my hike wont be good.

Please let me know your thoughts? How much can i expect in terms (%) increment this year based on the promotion? Is that even dependent on the promotion?

And should i look for other opportunities considering the YOE and current package?

Currently an engineer in MCOL area with 4 years experience (post graduating, not counting experience before/during college and large side gigs). I have a BS/MS/PhD in engineering and an MBA in business analytics. Currently making 100k as an engineer IV. As an engineer with a functional knowledge (but no former training) in IT and data analytics, what are the best avenues to get to 200k without changing fields and starting at an entry level position (or moving to a HCOL area)?
