I want to purchase a house for my parents and I have shortlisted a house in my village and the price of the same is Rs. 20lakh. Banks/nbfcs will not provide a house loan for this property as it is constructed in the assigned land (I understand the risks involved in buying assigned lands but this is what I can afford). What other ways are there for getting a loan? Apart from personal loan, I have a stock& mutual fund portfolio worth 11 lakhs can I use that as collateral?

I contribute 10% of my paycheck to my employee share purchase plan. Is this smart to do given the tax repercussions behind it? Is it smarter to invest less in that and more in my Roth or 401k?

Hey all! I’m 30 years old. About to close on a house with a 5.75% fixed 30 yr mortgage. If you were me and your goal was to maximize your net worth by retirement, would you put a few thousand dollars extra into paying down the house faster or invest that extra money in the market? The 5.75% doesn’t feel that low but also not crazy high so I’m torn. Thoughts? 🙏

I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
