Below is an income tax related query.

I got a demand notice that I have a payable of Rs. x.

When i checked, i got to know that mistakenly I have paid the self assessment tax of Rs. x in AY 22 instead of AY 23. The amount is visible in unmatched tax credit.

Can anyone tell me what is the resolution? Can i adjust this tax credit from current demand raised?

For me, I think “pay yourself first” is the most important. It forces me to save money first so I wouldn’t need to worry about making a budget for expenses, since I can see how much “disposable” money I have to spend.

I just started this recently. Each month, I allocate $1k of my pay to my brokerage acct and $1k to HYSA (to buy property). I max out 401k and do backdoor roth. And save all my bonus. So each yr, it’s around 70k: 24k + 20k + 6k + 20k bonus.

The PIP was mostly because I forgot some deadlines, but also they said I need to be more professional in emails (even though others use zero punctuation and a lot of emojis. To clients.) and simultaneously ask more questions and ask fewer questions. Should I just assume this is unattainable and look for a new job again?

Hi sharks, I am currently in my 3rd company, I now have 3 EPF accounts. My first company was handled by trust but they migrated to EPFO this year. Decided to transfer 1st->3rd and 2nd ->3rd EPF accounts after I joined my 3rd org this year. My 1 -> 3 transfer was accepted but 2->3 was rejected by field office stating the reason that wages are more than 15000. But my first gave me 3.5 lpa and then after switch, salary hiked. I don't know how can I proceed with this and transfer now?

I joined LTI in the month of March 2022 and it was a short term switch as I may switch after a year based on market.

I had a question like if I want to switch after one year which is March, 2023. Should I wait for appraisal or not required.

Note: Appraisal process in LTI ends in March but appraisal letter we get in July. So If I wait for appraisal process I need to wait till next July. (further part in comment section)
