I would suggest stay back! To visit a beautiful country you can take a 2 week leave and go. You both are earning almost 3 lakhs take home in India. Even if you live a lavish life in a great society of Bangalore paying 30k rent and having a full time maid, your expenses won't cross 70k to 80k. Why do you want to move somewhere where you won't have a support system to take care of your wife or infant child? Remember the grass is always greener on the other side. Europe is known for its secluded lifestyle, its not like US where the Indians are there around every corner and Scotland being a small country might not be as expat friendly as UK or US does and your salary is low!
Very well said 👍
1. Don't think low of Scotland. It comes under the same UK visa. It is a very beautiful country and has good opportunities also mainly in finance related jobs.
2. Salary is not that low considering it is not that expensive as London. You can discuss among yourself what is priority for you.
You can go alone initially and take your family after some time.
From.where you get Scotland chance. What is tech stack.and for which company you are currently working for
Comparitively very low. But good enough for a new start. Depends on your priority in terms of WLB and work quality.
Scotland
Definitely. Especially considering that your wife is expecting: not just finances but access to healthcare, proximity to family and community matter a lot not just before pregnancy or during delivery but after as well. I don’t think Scotland is worth it. Had you been single, it would have been a different ball game
