What’s the job description entail? Are you developing the UX process for the org? Unsure of what being labeled an architect of UX does.
UX definitions are all over the place. But in my experience UX architects/engineers are more specialized roles focused more narrowly on IA and taxonomy work.
I too am curious what the OP found out. I’m just curious what companies think “UX Architects” are these days.
That’s such an ambiguous label. I’m your interviews definitely lean heavily on having them define that. If they can define, then maybe you should help fill in the blacks. That could get you the job and establish boundaries for your work.
Thank you! I appreciate your response! Very ambiguous like you said. It’s a contract to hire role so the staffing agency description was vague but was able to get more clarity through some more interviews.
I worked as a UX architect from 2007-2010. It was an indication (back then) that one did everything. I've worked as a UX architect from time-to-time since then, but never had the title again. You either don't see that title too much any more or titles don't mean much and don't really describe what one is or what they do.
