Any advice on getting started in UX?
Hi Everyone! I am Edith based in Toronto, a self taught UX designer since last year April by completing Google UX certificate. I have been working volunteer UX designer for NPO and participated two UX hackathon competitions. I am actively looking for UX intern/ junior position.
If you have any recommendations, I am open to hear.

I was a customer support agent and product manager before I moved into my UXR role. I supplemented my PM experience by taking a UX Bootcamp that focused on research and wireframing. Took that to the design director and carved out a research role for myself at my company.
The bootcamp was a great introduction into core concepts but I’ve learned mostly on the job through trial and error.
I was not a TPM, although I did run sprints and manage developers. No certs. I bailed on PMing because my manager was an unsupportive micromanager. If I had a better experience I may have stuck with it.
Bootcamp was about 4 months. It was self paced. I’ll message you the name.
