Can someone tell difference in Technical Specialist, Staff Engineer , Principal Engineer and Associate architect experience wise and seniority wise? Not able to get clarity as have seen people with same experience having one of these designations.

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. Curious on whether people are thinking about the ethics of their exit company when deciding to move?

Should I move to another firm and take the higher pay (20% more) and do more work I’d enjoy doing and have better growth and long term career potential, while sacrificing my current title (would have to step down from associate to analyst), WLB, and team chemistry?

I’m struggling. I left an agency I liked last year due to growth limitations and since then I’ve worked at 2 different agencies and can’t seem to find my footing. The first one seemed like a good fit at first but then it turned out to not be the best place for me so I left. At my current agency I feel super undervalued. I’m always raising my hand and offering to help where I can and no matter what I do, I don’t feel utilized or valued or part of the team.It’s really taken a toll on my confidence

I love teaching art but am having to teach remotely to 1150 kids, k - 5. Have about 54 amazing elementary art teachers in my district that share SO much! Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. I have an interview scheduled

I completed my interview loop at Google on August 12, 2022. My recruiter informed me on August 29th that due to a couple of realignments within the org, the hiring manager has not shared any feedback. I was informed on September 8th that the hiring committee is scheduled the next day (September 9th) and that I can expect a final feedback latest by September 12th. I wasn’t informed of the results and reached out, but the recruiter isn’t replying to my emails. Does this mean I was rejected?
