Our 5 month old started daycare about 5 weeks ago. We’ve already had to keep her home for 2.5 of those 5 weeks due to catching various illnesses (croup, rsv, brinchiolitis, etc). Both my wife and I have been sick most of that time as well (gotten it from the baby). Wife is thinking we get a full time nanny for the next 4 months to help the baby build antibodies. Cost aside, is this feasible / worthwhile to go thru the effort / finding the right fit, only for 4 months?

AITA: My friend keeps asking me for financial advice. I set up a budget for her and have her concrete advice. And I field all of her investing questions. But still, she continues to be reckless with her money. She’s 42, single (no kids), and making $100k+ and is still living check to check.

I don’t want to waste my breathe on helping her since nothing seems to be getting through to her. AITA?

Has anyone quit their job because of a relationship? I started my job 3 months ago and now my employer wants me to move to NY. I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Consulting Baby Shower question - what was the best baby shower gift you ever received?

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…
