Hi, I am staff to working in risk assurance at EY. I am afraid they might have mass layoffs, which will affect me. How can I best prepare myself for it. Anyone who has been laid off what has been your luck? How do you address this in interviews?

if you haven't been kissing ass the past year there really is nothing that can help you, just hope you are too expensive to replace and you should be fine.

I got laid off back in November after 8 years with my employer; severance package etc but looking for a new job has been tough. While you are still there get your ducks aligned while you can:
1. Financial house in order
2. References list and contacts you will need.
3. Any work you did that you want to be able to showcase that you can remove employers direct reference to.
4. Start networking like crazy as each day may be your last
5. Train / skills update
6. Linkedin profile: get it rock solid and set the more hidden looking for work settings.
Depending on where you live, finding a new job can be a rocky road; looking is an 8+ hour a day job so with that is mind hit is now as if it is 2nd job... Goodluck!

Hello Everyone,
I need suggestions. I have 2 years of experience in IT as ASE. I am getting calls when I apply for the job opportunity from MNC but being a fresher and not having any experience in the Design field, they do not proceed with the hiring process. I have done Masters in Design (2021 passout)
Any suggestions would help how I can get into a good paying company as a fresher in Design.
Thankyou ✌️

Pretty new here! Great news ..JOB offer …however the company is lowballing salary ..I informed recruiter Amount was not acceptable …sent off the salary requirement letter …. Nail biting ..Why waste my time again …she didn’t know the budget… so we proceeded forward, her reply ..advised me to talk w hiring team but in final interview there was no opportunity to speak abt salary w hiring team ….Have to say I enjoy the posts & it’s a decent networking site!!

How honest can you be with a recruiter? If you are looking for a job that will help tee you up for an in-house position, is it okay to say that? I'm meeting with a recruiter for the first time later today and I'm unsure about the whole process...

Hello recruiters, happy Monday!

I want to know why recruiters ask me in an interview if I am looking at other opportunities, or if I am interviewing at other companies. If I say yes they will ask at what stage I am.

I just want to know the reason behind it and if there is a right answer to this question!

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. Do you think it's a good idea to devide work experience by projets? Or is it better to have "projects highlights" separate from work experience.. something like: intro>functional expertise> project highlights>work experience>education?

So I get that in a corporate set up, you are supposed to be sharp and witty and think on your feet. Trouble is, I am extremely slow with comebacks. (Think Ross in Friends/Amy in B99) at the crunch moment, I generally end up not being able to give a good roast back. Unfortunately the best of them come to me like a few hours later (dinner/shower/TV) and I am left ruing and amazing opportunity to have gotten one back. I am awful at jibes and roasts.

Anyone else suffer from this?
