From the 3, 1 company just declined no feedback the other 2 send offer letters

How is everyone? As we see more and more layoffs in our industry, we know there are so many navigating what it looks like to now be unemployed. The others still working are left with gaps on their teams and sadness over the loss of their peers, leaders, and friends.

How nervous is everyone about layoffs? As a first year, should I be worried?

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago.
