I am CPA eligible with 178 hours, BSBA (2023) and MBA degree (2024). I have about 16 months experience between 2 tax seasons and 1 extension season. I am looking to specialize in Trusts, Estates, and 1040s but I am interested in gaining knowledge in all types of returns and other opportunities, Mid size to large firm’s preferred, any leads on Big 4?

Is $170k as M3 FSO Advisory NYC EY at par with other Big 4 firms?

Has anyone else had both markers dry out during a CPA exam? It's happened to me both times I've taken it.

Contemplating a career switch into consulting as I want to go non-technical. I don't want to pay 250k for ivy league MBA. I have a MS in computer engg from a top 5 engineering school. 7YOE at a top 3 semiconductor as ML/AI engineer.

I can get 300+ maybe up to 400-450k TC in FAANG but not liking technical stuff anymore.

Hi ME 🐠s! Would like to know a bit regarding Business Analyst roles in MBB, T2 / B4 firms in UAE. I come from a target school in India (say MBB / T2 hires from my college every year) with ~1 YOE in consulting - based in Dubai. Would the stated firms consider me for a BA role (lateral hire as an experienced BA)?

I was recently (in April) fired from a good nursing position that I was at for 5 years. I reached out to my old ADON to get some information on where we had our vaccinations from and she told me that I should come back and the administrator that I had issues with is gone. Is this something I should even consider? I miss my patients and some of my coworkers and the pay is better, but I don't feel like I would really be welcome to come back.

Is it worth it to recruit for a PE Associate role if your current plan is to get 2YOE, go get an MBA and pivot afterwards? Seems like most people can’t /won’t stick around to make it to the top and end up doing something else anyways.

Any tips/warnings/advice on potentially trying to move from Big 4 to either MBB or a T2 boutique firm? I’m anticipating reaching M1 in Big 4 within the next 12 months. I really like my current practice, but frankly as I eye comp across the bowl, I’m hungry for more elsewhere, even with the recent Big 4 bumps. Best backup plans if you get fired from a Big Law firm within a year or two after graduating? Go to a non-BL firm and then try to lateral back into BL?
