Why is there such a huge pay difference between IT and Mechanical/auto industries? Many people in IT are getting 3xx salary hikes, but here I am struggling to get more that 20-30% hikes. Sure the skills are much more demand in IT field, but the discrepancy is too much. Is it due to most of the work are outsourced to consultancy/service based companies by the OEM? Or is there simply too much candidates available?

What is the average salary for CAE engineers in India with 2 yrs of experience post master studies?
I joined as a freshman with 4LPA in 2020 and now I got placed for 7.5LPA

Am I underpaid or should I negotiate for more ?

Has anyone taken up and completed any course from upGrad? Is it really beneficial in career growth? Do companies consider upGrad certification as legit?

PS:- I am planning to do a Data analytics course. If anybody is aware of a better course pls suggest.
