Is the hiring freeze is lifted in hsbc ?

I attended an interview with hsbc on aug month through referral but I got rejected mail in the month of sep 1st week but I checked with referred person he told that I was selected but hiring freeze was implemented they are waiting for the approval

Should I rejoin Equinox? Background: I cancelled my equinox membership because I wanted to try out different gyms. After about a month and a half, I’ve determined I really miss Equinox.
