Hi - looking to change jobs/industry as I’ve been in a role for 10+ years with ever increasing autonomy and responsibilities but no official title change. While working on the job experience section of LinkedIn I wanted to organize the bullets by “associate”, “staff”, “senior” to show the growth. Then put “senior” in the job title and profile headline. Would there be an issue with this? Obviously I want to do this correctly and just show progression in responsibilities - thoughts?

I’m a second year BigLaw associate that pays market. I was offered the position at a modified salary and hourly expectation due to their expected work flow needs. I’m wondering what is the best way to approach the topic of getting on the full salary/hours. Do I wait until the bonuses are given at the end of my first year? Or bring it up at mid-year review? I won’t have any problem meeting my hourly so I’m starting to think I’m being underpaid. I’ve been reading on here that not meeting

It's been very difficult as a lot of recruiters only see the technical aspects of my previous role, even though I've added in some sales aspects from those roles. Hello fishes
I want to come to Amdocs from EPAM with few months of experience, currently SDE2. I do have some questions, though.
1. How does EPAM compare to Amdocs? Regarding the job satisfaction, projects, Permanent WFH, etc.
2. This company is, in my opinion, one of the best for growth and high-quality projects. Can someone vouch to this?
3. I would appreciate it if you could recommend SDE2, SDE3, or both.
4. What should a reasonable CTC expectation be?
I am eager for your help and support. 🥰

Serious question from a happy software engineer, what do you all love about your work/actually enjoy doing during working hours?

I'll start; I'm privileged enough to have been given the opportunity to work and learn deeply on Linux and Kubernetes, and I get to tinker and play with them all day. Problem solving with them is a "fun" part of my job.

Of course most things aren't roses and sunshine, but I'd love to hear the positive parts of what you are doing, or what you like to do at work.

That feeling when you have been promoted to GM of a small company that has not had an HR professional, ever.. and you start looking through employee files and onboarding procedures, and feel like your head may explode…

Any tips on dealing with incomplete files and creating an on boarding process literally from scratch on top of already filling two full time positions? Do most states have a checklist for new hires somewhere? It’s been years since I have done HR work.

I am currently unemployed (but looking) an opportunity to consult has potentially fallen into my lap. Before I shut it down for a lack of experience, I want to know if it's something that I can even do. It's a very very small company, not even 3 FTE. But they are looking for someone to come in, create a Handbook(I can do that), provide benefits, etc.

Is that difficult to implement? I can't imagine it being so, but I don't want to set myself up to fail.

Hi anyone & everyone … thought I’d create a resource page for our field and friends 🙂
