Hi ! What would be the best first step to PM world?

I have been working in government(Embassy) for total 4.5 years after university. After being executive assistant for 3 yrs recently, I would like to get ready to move outside of government sector.

Started google cert course, and thinking of PMP.

Any recommendation on certification or courses / or for positions that i should search to jump in to this field would be much appreciated ☺️☺️

Benefits to scrum or PMP certifications as a low level Associate? All the positions I see require 5+ years scrum experience. Also would appreciate people’s perspectives on scrum vs PMP in general. I left Audit at a midsize firm to join KPMG erp implementation consulting about 6 months ago. So far they seem to only want to staff me on projects with a heavy focus on technical accounting and audit. Spoke to a lot of others who have left and seems like being pigeonholed or staffed on projects not related to the actual core work of the practice is the common reason. I have been a phlebotomist for the last three and a half years with quest. I have over 20 years of experience. And have been trying to transfer to a different state. I believe that I am being blocked from my transfer even though my manager approves it on paper. Is there any way I can find this out. If I can't successfully transfer I may have to look for work outside of my current employer.

Hi fellow PMs, Question for the group: has anyone here made the switch from being a creative agency PM to a digital producer or digital agency PM? I.e. going from managing creative projects like TV to managing website builds/UX projects. If so, what was the transition like and what helped you get your bearings in the new environment? I went through a pretty rigorous interview process for a marketing project manager but ultimately wasn't given job. Though most of the feedback was positive, the other candidate had more direct experience with the job responsibilities (digital assets, social media, etc.) My job/company dabbles in digital but it's primarily traditional media. How do I again the experience if I'm limited by the type of work we do?
