Nope, def not 28 yo partner making 1.2
@D1: spoiler alert, he was lying to you (or he looked much younger than he was). Nobody, literally, nobody at Deloitte makes $1.2M base at 28 years old.
Shoot sorry missed the partner part, I thought you just meant people jumping to industry. Sorry still drunk from last night and feeling like garbage today.
So by 1.2 you meant $120k?
Maybe 38, but even then I don't think many people break $1M before 45 or 50
Follow up question... how many Deloitte partners with salaries on the high end aren't douchebags? From what I've observed, the more they get paid, the more of a jerk they are.
Ugh that's horrible, sorry OP. Sometimes I've wished I had a rich/successful dad to mentor me (I'm also a female, but grew up with a single mom) and never occurred to me that it could be like that and your dad won't help. F'ing sexist people in the world. Congrats on making it to Director on your own though.
26 year old here...You got my hopes up. Lolz
Average D partner (including tax and audit) makes 1.05M
A Deloitte partner had a FB thread letting us ask him anything, and he said the average was more like $800k for partners. I agree with D4's assessment. D5 - that may be an average for senior partners
Sadly AC1- he mentors me 0% and doesn't support me being in consulting. My parents are very traditional (read: sexist) and think I am a bad wife/mother for having this type of career. I'm a Director and they have turned up the heat trying to get me out before P.
I know a guy who is about 31 who makes about 400k, he started a sales consultancy with a few other sales guys and some tech guys. You would never know though, I only know because I helped him with some financial stuff.
PWC1, you have been truly blessed. Not only because your dad is loaded 😂 but because you have access to him as a mentor.
Some firms have wide dispersion amongst partners so u can find $500k - $20M. Other firms have tighter ranges (all depends on the equity structure of each firm, which is something u should ask about before joining). A starting partner in a top firm is >$800k total, with the base likely in the $300k's.
1.2 base from a guy that left 2 years ago to be VP in an insurance firm. No idea what his bonus looks like but I imagine it's delish. He was like 28 when he left too.
Are there partners that young at all?
I've heard 4-500K base. They were all 50+
$5M
I had a partner directly say that a new partner can expect 450-500 and a partner after 5-6years and expect that to about double
~800k is the figure I heard for avg. consulting partner at Deloitte
