Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

That is really bizarre. I was hired into a specific unit at the USAO and only do work in that unit. I would welcome the opportunity to work with major crimes but it’s kind of frowned upon at least since I have been here less than a year. I would say that it might be wise to apply to a large city’s office where there’s more staff such that each unit is self sufficient.
IMO if you wanna go to another office just start applying. And if you communicate what you wrote I’m not sure it’ll help you, even if you are correct. And a year isn’t that long to be in general crimes if you had no prosecution experience before hand, although I’m not sure what your background is.
FWIW, I know someone who had over five years of trial experience at Main DOJ but still had to do over a year in general crimes when she moved to a USAO, before being put full time in her assigned unit (which was the same practice area as she had at Main Justice). Not gonna pretend she loved that or that it felt fair at all, but offering for whatever that anecdotal experience is worth for perspective
