Hmmm so my friend (provider) just got terminated from Kaiser. She made a mistake (that I have seen many do when I worked in healthcare) due to poor training from her manager but manager didn’t like her and used it to terminate her. HR is weirdly overlooking poor training and sides with manager. It’s really terrible… friend loves her job and does her job well. The non-clinical manager is power hungry (I checked her LinkedIn and she calls herself a healthcare executive but it’s all ego.

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

I'm a new joinee in MSFT.

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)

Secondly, when my team members see me in cafeteria we expect they'll sit with us but people here are being rude they directly go and sit with their friends they don't call you to join. ( atleast they could have said they are accompanied)

How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). Has anyone had a Manager that does not work well with your ADHD? Im going through this right now and the way they communicate doesn’t match what I need. If I ask questions, they huff and puff. But then get upset if something is done and it doesn’t meet their exact expectations. I work part time for a startup for equity and am attending an event on behalf of the startup. I’ve only been here a few months and asked multiple times to have a prep meeting with my boss. He instead sent me a 15 page document outlining 40 questions I should be able to answer the day before the event.

I just offered an intern a full time position as an account coordinator with a starting salary of $50k. They have only been an intern for 2 months and have no prior experience. They acted like $50k was a huge slap in the face. Am I crazy for thinking $50k is reasonable for entry level in Toronto? He’s in talks with his manager about moving internally in his current company but that is still in discussion. He just got an offer from another company for an infra role but they need an answer in the next week. How do you guys suggest he push for a decision from his manager about the internal move. I started a new job as an “office manager” at the end of January. The duties seem to align more with those of an EA, and I’m ok with that. Except my boss is a control freak. I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.
