I would try to document proof. Maybe I’m paranoid, but I still feel like HR is usually there to protect the company, not you. At least if you have documented evidence, you have leverage in case there is any retaliation.
I'd report it. Don't worry about being viewed as a rat. No place for that shit in the office
Yes...n case he’s connected somehow there should be an anonymous line for ethics etc. I would report it as if you were a 3rd party who witnessed whatever is happening and wanted to report it to protect the company interest. This might be a pure strategic play to get him to calm down.

Document it, tape it - make sure you have evidence and go to HR. Report his a**. No room for that BS in the workplace.
Report but with specific examples. Harassment doesn’t have to be malicious as it can be done out of ignorance. That is what HR will need to determine in order to determine beat course of action including educating others.

Date time place what was said. Start from the earliest conversation. That will save your @$$ in the long run.

I recently feel very stressful with my boss. She constantly time me , count my mistake, judge me work, blame anything go wrong on the day to my 15min late for work and whenever she saw me txt on the phone she became unpleasant but she video chat with her mom during working hours. Not to mention meaningless tasks that wasted my time. I got paid as 75k as a contractor. I wants to quit but haven’t been ready for a better position. My team is only like a start-up team of two. But, everyday I feel not trusted and my boss is mean.She used to be reported from another bank for giving a lot of stress to people.But I don’t know if it make any difference reporting her since I haven’t have any physical issue caused by the stress. But I did hate my everyday a lot more. Guys, what will you do?
Find another job and quit
I’d most likely recommend reporting but make sure you do everything in your power to stay anonymous. Your concern is valid - if you report and he gets terminated (and it’s obvious you were the one who reported), there may be some awkwardness around the office. You absolutely do not deserve to be subjected to malicious behavior tho. If you report, be smart and very calculated and you will be OK. Good luck

It is a difficult situation, most people don’t report harassment because you will need to prove it. A few roles ago, I knew of sexual harassment by my manager towards younger female coworkers. Eventually, I went to HR and none of them came forward. I ended up leaving the company. My manager knew I went to HR and my life became hell.
