brb...applying for a new role
I had a recruiter reach out to me from Google 3 years ago about a role she thought I would be good for. She really advocated for me to be in the role but the hiring managers didn’t feel like I was qualified.
We had a discussion and she gave me a lot of good feedback on how I could be a stronger candidate and encouraged me to reach out to her directly for future opportunities. Fast forward to now, I’ve gained a lot of experience and skills. Should I reach out even though it’s been 3 years?

WLB here isn’t bad as long as you set clear boundaries with your time.
The contractors I’ve interacted with have seemed to be pretty content
It really depends on the line of business and manager. From my own experience, WLB is really good. There’s work to get done but there’s also down time.
RTO is 3x per week but we usually go in 2x per week.

Great, thanks
You realize your bonus will be 1/3 to 1/4 what you got at Cap One, right?
I've never had a bonus, period. I'm a 24-year-old contractor. So my base is literally just jumping up here. I realize the trade-offs of being a contractor and don't need the lecture, but it's been quite difficult to get an interview for a full-time role since I graduated in May 2020. Hopefully I can convert FT and get that bonus at Citi, or jump elsewhere and work as a full employee with better benefits in my next role. In the meantime, this role offers some benefits and even if I'm not making as much money as some others, I'm being valued more than I would be at Capital One, and I'll be quite comfortable right now with Citi's offer.
