Not even close. So many more have been layered onto what I initially signed on for. You?
When you applying for a job, it is called RECRUITMENT and they going to make the job sound glamorous. When you are hired your responsibilities becomes REALITY and it can far from what you were originally told.
Hit the nail on the head.
So far they do. Sometimes I have to cover for others because of short staff but the majority of the times, it does match with my responsibilities.
My current responsibilities do not match the job description at all but that's because my job has evolved so much over time. The nature of my duties has changed and expanded simply because of the time i've spend at my company.
How many years did that take? Did additional responsibility equal increase in pay?
I actually never thought about this question but now that I have, I would say it's pretty close. I've never been asked to do anything outside of my job description.
Not close the job is completely different then what was first applied and hired on as.
It's not that there's a massive mismatch, but let's just say the description was written by a marketing team with a penchant for hyperbole. They promised "exciting challenges" and "cutting-edge projects," but so far I've mostly been stuck wrangling spreadsheets and writing reports that could put a panda to sleep.
Very close. I’m not doing anything I didn’t expect to be doing when I applied for the job. But my last job was not like that.
I would say that my current responsibilities match my job description pretty spot on. I'm an assistant manager so the job title in itself is pretty vague. The bulk of my job is supporting the account manager in any way.
