Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Anyone, who might have some tips, or went through a similar experience? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company
I recently joined TCS but I was moved into very different project which was told during hiring. Also they told me for joining incentive but later after 65 days of joining they didn't give saying your business aproval got rejected. I really want to be with TCS but due to project dissatisfaction, I am looking for different job. I am not sure if I can leave the organisation soo soon(4 months) and it should not effect my carrier.

Those exits are generally from MBB
YouTube is your friend. Most of the time, it comes down to being able to articulate your experiences and strengths, learning what each company is looking for, etc. There are a lot of people sharing their insights for free! It just takes patience. And contrary to some advice out there, I think it’s valuable to update your own resume & circulate it within your trusted network for feedback.
Just get good.
I was EY now tech. It’s 100% about the stuff you learn yourself (I.e. specific field in tech you read up in or taking PM courses in your free time).
Analyst1 gets the $20 I’m a product manager so obligated to say PM means product management
Broke into big tech, and used youtube to learn on my own about AWS/Azure
Had to stop doing +1 EY activities to prep. As others said, put in the work and network and you”ll make it in.
PE deal side will be from MBB or EY-P growth strategy
From EY, better to go EY to IB/VC (post undergrad within 2 years) and then PE
Your framing seems to assume that they were able to make the jump because they learned more. That's not how early career industry jumps work. They did interview prep and leveraged referrals/connections.
The hires you are referring to are usually very technical people.
If they are not....they just got lucky and picked up one of the few entry level roles that exist in tech
Thats not true, there are non tech positions in big tech who would gladly pick up consultants and pay them great money. Dont gate keep.

Sorry, his brain has been chewed.

What kind of consulting are you currently doing? I’m sure you’ve picked up some kind of knowledge along the way, don’t doubt yourself. You need to find a way to translate your skills to a particular exit opportunity in industry.
Having had team members leave for tech or MBB - confidence and focus.
