Question: I have a client who started a restaurant. He leased the land and bought shipping containers where he spent money contracting out to turn them into bars. A good friend of mine graduated from Parsons this past summer, has degrees in Journalism and French, is a talented photographer and designer (which I feel I have a pretty decent eye for after working at a design-driven branding agency for half a decade). And I’m certain she’d make a fabulous junior AD or content strategist. Unfortunately she, like many in this pandemic, is still without a job. I want to switch roles from a creative director who oversees all aspects of the company’s creative (marketing campaigns and brand building mostly; also production, performance marketing ads, product design, managing design team) to focusing 100% on building our brand, educating both customers and employees about our value prop. I hate managing people or logistics and scheduling. What would this role be called? Do you see it as demotion from CD?

I just finished what I thought was the final round of interviews for a job that I really want. Everything has been going extremely well. The recruiter just called to tell me that they want me to do one more round, though. This will make 8 interviews total, including a full case study presentation to 4 people. Should I be worried?
