I have received offer from Qualcomm. They haven't mentioned about relocation bonus or accommodation in the offer letter. I have tried reaching the hr since the next day of hr round but they haven't responded to my calls or mails. Any advice on how to get accommodation and relocation bonus. Or is it not possible anymore? FYI I'm in city x and the offered position is in city y of another state.
Update :
After several follow ups Hr have agreed they will give the relocation bonus and reimbursement
Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

I won't do them. If they want a trial run, we can do a freelance-to-hire arrangement. They can pay me a day rate for 3 months, during which time they'll undoubtedly prove to me why I don't want to work there, but I'll at least bleed them dry in the meantime.
"Happy to share my portfolio with you. If there's something you'd like to explore beyond what's included there, I'd be open to discussing a reasonable rate for a test project to see if it's a good fit for both of us."

I did one once for Bumble. Years ago. Never again. They gave me their data and asked for a strategy and a 360 campaign. I was desperate to get out of my job at the time so I did it. Managed to land their new strategy dead on without knowing it. But they wished the 360 campaign I had the weekend to do had been more blown out. And by that they meant more examples of work than they had asked for. So, yeah. No.
It’s called getting free work from people. If they ask you and 10 other candidates to come up with ideas, nothing is stopping them from taking them and using them.
Are we talking about movers + shakers? Cause they have candidates do that 😑
You’d be amazed at how many people bomb when doing easy project presentations. I won’t hire without them now.
do a workshare, but never assignments
Currently experiencing this during the interview process for an digital agency - while I understand it's necessary to pinpoint my skills since it's for above entry-level, I do agree it's frustrating putting in a lot of hours on a project you're not being compensated for in ADDITION to your full 9-5 job. Companies really should provide a stipend/comp for your time if you progress this far in the hiring process, even something small would be appreciated
That's cheesy. Hiring you should be the test.
If it’s just a quick few hour assignments, why not do it if it gets you the job you want? I know that Google, IBM, and some other places also ask for it.
i agree. if the assignment takes hours and hours and hours, maybe there’s also a more efficient way to do it. obv depends on what the assignment asks for. i also think someone can tell the hiring manager, hey i can’t do this much but i CAN do this part. i myself did this recently and they appreciated how i managed up and communicated my deadlines firmly - they thought it was a great skill they needed for handling hard clients. if you want the job, put the work in to secure it!
My previous workplace did multiple test rounds for entry-level roles, which I always felt uncomfortable about since they were such extensive projects.
I have done it once for a role and the team immediately compensated me. The ask was light and the pay was quite substantial. If they didn’t treat me as well as they have throughout the interview process and weren’t so upfront about fair compensation, it would’ve been turned me off. Thankfully, this wasn’t the case!
I’m against them if they’re intensive but if it’s simple I don’t mind. I think too many agencies take advantage of it and they’ve ruined it for everyone as a way to understand someone’s personal work style.
I won’t do them either. Junior strategist have school portfolios, everybody else can show work experience and references.
I’ve been in a position where I actually got asked to work on a pitch for an agency. I thought that was bullshit. I had a full-time job at the time running a department.
Will never do that again.
