How do you decide where you want to travel? I always see these lists of 'underrated' destinations and it seems like they're always full of the same places. I want to visit unique destinations that still offer plenty of things to do and a taste of local life, but I have no idea where to start looking for them.

However, I want to travel light and am trying to avoid check in bags completely. What carry on backpacks do you recommend to buy that would be enough for 3 week trip but also be allowed as a carry on? Also need to buy packing cubes.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?
