Have you tried explaining this? And then going above them to higher management and sending an email about it? Ppl love to cut corners whenever possible, but if this is detrimental to your department then that needs to be heard and if they don't care after that then find a place that does
It's been explained by my supervisor, but this leader is already at the top of the chain when it comes to overseeing operations. All this leader wants is to see revenue. It's hard to tell if this leader sees my supervisor as line staff or managing the department, considering our department consists only of a few people.
Can you physically take then on the journey? Have it as a ‘learn how the biz works?’ Maybe involve other snr leaders. Then do a Q&A and likely someone else will say something in support of how you do what you do. This person has no actual exposure to the practices, they’re not open to just get it unfort so you need to give them the experience. Your dif leader may not register at the time, but at least gives you a ref point always to go back to ‘remember when we showed too how we have to pipette liquids slowly…’ rubbish example hopefully my you get what I mean.
