Ageism against Gen z where ageism laws only apply to 40+
Yikes you need to self reflect on this one. If you’re really good at writing stories and scripts then it will get used. It’s not about superiority. Most creative directors would love nothing more than to have great talent that doesn’t require handholding but it’s just not always the case so we sometimes have to pitch in.
I understand your frustration. It’s hard to get good at TV when you rarely get those opportunities. Hang in there and keep raising your hand for pitches and other stuff that may involve TV. For me, I joined a radio writing workshop after hours that was run by a CD and I felt like that really honed my skills. I’m now in my mid-40s and getting lots of opportunities to do scripts but yeah it took years to get here.
Young people only scroll on Tiktok, eat hot chip, and lie. They don’t know TV or commercials. Only social and earned media aCtiVaTiOns that TRULY resonate with consumers and culture
No but they're the only ones who still watch TV.

The only people who actually watch TV with commercials are 45+ so it’s rational from that pov
Ah, but according to OP, he’s got a lot of tv-watching experience. He even remembers the “Most Interesting Man in the World” commercials. 😳
Where are 45 y/o ECDs working? I would love to work for a Gen X ECD. 100% serious. DM me hints if you don't want to comment openly.
Omg I am confident I know who this is about and if it it's about who I think it is. HQHAHAHA
